Re: Adding 350z suspension...alignment necessary?
I do not recommend changing it. When I did the Z suspension I started to eyeball the rear tires, sure "looked" like to much negitive camber. Finally after like 6K, I bought Kinetix rear camber arms and went down and got the alignment done. Car wasn't very far off at all, but I changed it never the less. I went from -1.4 rear camber to -1.1 rear. I took the rear toe in from .4 to .2 and I took the front toe in from @.6 to 0. Big mistake, before that I had beautiful at the limit handling, I could walk up to the limit and reach it with ease. Traction limits were reached with beautiful smoothness, nice and neutral, rear could be steered with the throttle, god the car was a shear joy. After the alignment, the rear end now likes to step out, it's no where near as fun to push to the limit. I haven't changed it back yet because I've been pondering installing RSR 350Z springs and I'll need a alignment with that for sure. In the mean time I should pull the Kinetix arms off and swap in the oem arms and turn the rear toe back to the original specs. I had zero abnormal tire wear with 6k on the Z suspension.

Im getting the suspension from a member here at the boards who upgraded his to Tein coilovers.
-So Gsedan35, i have basically no idea what you just said. The only reason i posted this topic was becuase i saw some posts about people re-aliging their car after a spring install, so i thought it would be a good thing to check out. After reading what you said though, correct me if im wrong, but i should keep it just the way it is. Also im probally going to be puting in some RSR springs in after the Z suspension, so will i need to do the alignment then? If yes, then where do you recomend i get it done, and how much does it usually cost? Thanks!

Re: Adding 350z suspension...alignment necessary?
Basically, if you get the new suspension put in, the car will have more negative camber. It will handle better and corner like a beast. But, as a side effect of the increased camber, your tires will wear faster. So, you can either get an alignement and get back closer to stock specs, and sacrifice some of the handling you gained from the springs, or you can go without the alignment and expect to replace your tires sooner.
