350z "euro" suspension?

Here's a question I have not seen asked nor answered...

Are there any easily identifiable outward appearance differences that can quickly help distinguish the older 350z springs and shocks from the new 2004 model year "euro" suspension with 12/03 build date or later?

Thanks

That's a tuff one. Part numbers on the shocks might be different, then again Nissan may have used that same numbers, I dunno. May use different spring rates, but you would not be able to look at them and tell that since it would only take a tiny change in the wire diameter to change the rates.

Best way to know is by the build date, after 11/30/03 and all roadsters.

Re: 350z "euro" suspension?

Well, do we know for a fact that there was a producion line change on EXACTLY 12/01/03? I.e., say I found an '04 with a 12/05/03 build plate. Absent the ability to see any difference in the components, what are the odds I'd be getting the good stuff? I wonder if building in some "fudge factor", say, til Jan. '04 make good sense?

Here are the 350z part numbers and change dates directly from my dealer parts dept. According to the Nissan system there are no part # change overs dated in Nov. or Dec. 2003.
