Re: 19s...do I need to lower?

from my experience with 19's and what i've read here, the 19's will look great with no lowering. however, it is somewhat subjective. i agree it would probably look a little better with a little lowering, but i still think it looks good with stock suspension. it looks good enough to where it is more of a personal preference. i'd feel comfortable with putting them on first, then making your own decision afterwards.

I don't think you NEED to lower it with 19s. It will probably look a little better but it still looks great on a stock suspension. I didn't do it to mine because I didn't want to lose the great ride the car has.

i also feel like you should def lower. if you are putting on 19s your going to attract attention to yourself and if you dont complete the look it will look funny.

its either keep completely stock or do it RIGHT

Re: 19s...do I need to lower?

You guys do realize that the tire height should remain the same whether you have 18s, 19s, or 20s, right?

That said, if you're going to bring extra attention to your wheels, you ought to consider that the gap is unsightly to say the least.

lower with 19's, leave alone with 20's. IMO

damen,

that makes no sense. The gap will be the same with 19s or 20s, since youre keeping the stock tire diameter.

Re: 19s...do I need to lower?

close the gap... lower it a bit. the ride wont be effected. the thing you have to worry about it the clearance height.
In stock form this is a major issue already. I figured it cant get much worse, so i lowered my g anyways. I never rub but i bottom out all the time. Its a bitch i must admit... but it was a bitch b4 too. Damn long wheelbase & low stance.

Re: 19s...do I need to lower?

i live in chicago....i would love to lower my car, but.....seriously, the roads are to f'ed up....if you live in a place where it snows a lot during the winter....there will be so many potholes....i got 19's and didn't lower it....it would look much better lowered, but it still looks good.....take a look at the wheels posts....many people have 19's with stock suspension....
