Hi Guys,

I've searched quite a fair bit but haven't found a definitive answer to my question as everyone seems to have slightly different suspension setup and offsets.

Will the below offsets and widths fit and any rolling of guards needed?

18''x 8, 5x114.3 +33A 225/45/18
18''x 9, 5x114.3 +31B 245/45/18

Am already lowered on a full set of Z suspension approx 1"

Pretty sure fronts shouldn't be a prob but need to know the rears..if someone has a similar setup please post pics.

Yes but you might need to roll your fenders.

I would say you will need a rear fender roll - fronts will clear no problem, I just had my rear fenders rolled 2 nights ago and I am very pleased with the results and it was only $130 for both rear after tax (MAKE SURE YOU FIND A GOOD SHOP THAT USES A "HUBCENTRIC" ROLLING TOOL)

what in the world is a hub centric roller? How "centric" can it be when your hub is NOT connected to your fenders inner lip. Is it some dreamed up mega accurate tool that helps you find the middle of your wheel well? Never knew that was hard to do or required a special tool. Any human with eyeballs and some pvc pipe and a floor jack can roll your fenders.

 

YES, they will fit. You'll need to roll your rear fenders and run atleast -1.8 degrees of camber in the rear.

haha, +100000000 to that. A "hubcentric roller"... cmon guys. You hook up a fender rolling tool to your hub and it rolls the fender, its not like it has to be 100% precise. I roll fenders with a wooden dowel and a heat gun...

True, however there is an actual tool available that shops use called a hubcentric roller, it is the best way to do the job, minimizes paint cracking and makes a nice smooth even roll. It not dreamed up or mega accurate it is simply the best way out there to perform the job, here is a link: http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/feflroliprot.html
Roll it with a pvc pipe or bat if you need too, but 60-90 bucks a fender aint much to have the job done properly.

 

Thanks, yes I have read ur thread and am currently running the exact same offsets and widths that you are with same OEM tyre specs and no rubbing at all. The offsets I quoted above will make the rears stick out 8mm more.

Thanks everyone for your replies...looks like I may have to do a bit of rolling of the rear fenders...if I do decide to get them...(Volk GTS with gold centers)

If anyone has pics of above specs on their cars please post them up

Edit/ Correction, I'm actually running 8.5+33 at the rears with 245/45 tires on a 1" drop, no rubbing whatsoever even with passengers and hard cornering. camber is around -1.2

I saw a tool called a "Fender Flare Roller Lip Rolling Tool"........nothing hub centric about it. In fact you could be off the hub center by inches and it would still work.

 

Ya, thats just what the shop I went to called it and I have heard other people refer to it as on the forums. You are right it it not essentially centric around the hub to the fenders - that is just what most people refer to the actual tool as. Several ways of getting the job done..........you could use your coat hanger rod or favorite louisville, but with a nice car many would prefer to use a tool specifically made for the job - IMO - each to their own.
