Loose Stud?!
Ok, so I go to get my new wheels installed (19" LMGT4's), only to find out that I have a loose stud on my front right side!
Anyone else run into a loose stud, and how important is it (I mean, I still got 4 that work
). What is the procedure of fixing a loose stud?

omg, i just had 2 loose studs after putting spacers on... holy shiet, it took 2 days and a saw zaw to get my rim off. ill post up pics in a minute. its a HUGE ordeal if you stud if completely spining. luckly for my my brother just bought a auto shop. im awaiting new lugs from H&R that should arrive tomorrow.
oh yeah, we tried to chizzle the lug apart first as you can see in one of the pics buttttt it would not let go even after it was split into 3 peices. so out cam the saw zaw and the rim came off.

What made you put 2 lugs on the loose stud?? I came back from the tire shop and they had already put one on. What should I do, I tried to take the lug off and I guess the the whole stud is spinning, I can't remove the lug. Any tips? I'm pissed! Is 1 loose stud enough to worry about??
^^exactly, when the stud became loose the lug was just spinning with the stud. My studs only started spinning after we torqued the lugs... it was like it would start to tighten and then the lug just kept spinning. Once we tried taking the wheel back off, that when we realized what had happened. Hopefully i get my red G back tomorrow.

U can usually drill the lug and stud from the center and it will break apart. Yes its a do it yourself job if u have the right tools. I work at a tire shop take less then five minutes with hub off

UPDATE: so I messed around with it some more, got the lug nut off just by spinning it as quick as possible......so hooray
, but wait, I notice that the stud has fallen back all the way back. So I try to give the G a testspin but I don't make it 4 inches as it seems the stud is hitting on something (on the hub?) not allowing the hub to rotate. I try to hammer the stud out of the back, but no luck, it seems as if its hitting something. So, for now, my car is stuck in the garage, not able to make it to the dealership.
If I get the wheel off, will I be able to get that stud from behind, and what is keeping the stud from going out of the back?
