I just bought Faulken 452'a. $652 shipped for all 4. Install will be $50 for all 4 at a local shop. Sounds like a way better deal budget or no budget. Good tires, keep the extra $500 and go out on the town.

Sounds about right. I stand behind Falkens too. Great quiet tires, great tread wear, great grip and price. Cant ask for more. I hate the stock tires that came with oem 19s, they are waaay too loud and tread wear blows.

Thanks for the replies, guys; I hear ya... I have yet to find a site, tho, with that kind of pricing... a spot of help? :P

I've been reading threads all afternoon with the words "OEM," "19," and "tire" in them... I got to the 10th page of threads and stopped. so far it seems that the michellin sport ps2s are definitely really nice tires, but falken 452s are good for the money (as are toyo t1rs, but, as i said earlier, i'm straying away from them).

right now, i'm waiting for a call from a guy to see what he can do about pricing for a whole set of sport ps2s.... if it doesn't come out better than $1380, then I might just go with the falkens. An extra $500 sure would be nice.

I don't think I'm going to go with another set of stock potenzas.. I want to try something else.

much appreciated for all the replies; keep 'em coming if you have one. (:

I just checked the site...and it would run me about $660 shipped for a set of 4 falken 452's as well (two 245/35/19, two 255/40/19). wow what a deal.

Are vulcantire.com reliable to purchase from?

I got tires for my old car there. Took a little over a week to get them, the weekend was involved when I ordered so nothing was moving. That was about 2 years ago. They have been around for a while. Ones I just ordered should ship soon. I'll let you know when I get them.

From what I've been reading on this thread, everyone has offered up their opinions and you're still set on the PS2s... I say pull the trigger. You'll like the tires and as long as you're okay with only getting 15-18K on the rears, go for it. But like any other tire, the PS2s get nice and loud once they are reaching the end of their life.

^ My PS2's wore out in the inner tread (fronts) and roared incredibly. Sounded like a lion.

Yes, I think I am going with the PS2s. I've called numerous shops to find the best price and am waiting for a guy to call me back.

Maybe I'm deaf, but I don't notice any tire roar from my stock Potenzas, despite the fact that they need to be changed out... according to my recent multi-point inspection from the dealer, I have 6/32 tread life left on my rear tires, and I really don't hear anything.

The car won't be seeing many miles in the nearer future, as I'm going off to college soon.

Thank you all for your input, it's helped me a lot in my decision.
Suggestions/advice is still welcome.

I had ps2s all around, the fronts lasted like 20k miles, the rears ..... well they only lasted me 8k.... lol but yeah they were fun tires and performed very well but were so damn expensive. I got T1Rs now but don't have too many miles on them.

Got the fronts in 4 days after order. Rears will be here next week. Local warehouse didn't have them in my size, but still not bad time for the price.
