Where to get good powder coating on wheel in So Cal?

There is a place in Huntington Beach called Primo's powder coating. They do nice work.

 

Are you planning to powder coat the stock rims?

If you're in the Valencia area try Exclusive powder coating. They did a lot of work on my show car ( Alfa spider ) and did some vintage alloys that were basket cases before.

My guy ( and I'm sure others are the same ) has catalogs with color chips, just like the auto paint store. Some colors are one shot, others ( like a lot of silvers ) need a second clear powdercoat. There are some things to look for. One is the place they will hang the wheel from: make sure it's out of the way because there will be a powdercoat "bubble" where the hanging wire touched the wheel. Also since powdercoat is thick some centercaps might not fit anymore. They can mask off places you don't want the coating, although it will probably add to the price.
