NEED HELP (road force balance question)
Hey all! I need your help on this one!
I purchased 4 tires for my 04g35x (yokohama avid v4s from tirerack). I had them installed at small local tire shop. But I was getting high speed vibration. So, I took the car to the Infinity dealership. They checked all the tires and said they needed to be balanced again on a road force machine. I agreed.
After they were done, they said they cannot get the tires to the suggested specifications (they said Infinity recommends the tires to be under 7 on the road force machine). They ended up having my tires at 8 and 11 for the front ones, and 9 and 15 for the rear ones. I am not really sure what these numbers mean , but they said that that is the best they can do.
Now, most of my vibration is gone, except if the car sits for 8 hours or so in the parking lot and I take straight to 70 mph. The vibration is there for a few minutes and then it is gone. I guess that is because the tires are still cold. At least that is what everyone keeps telling me.
Now, should i be concerned with the road force values? Should i call tirerack? What would you guys suggest?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks again!!!

I'd call tire rack and inform them that you've bought a tire with excessive road force. its hard to explain but it has to do with two things. 1- the quality of the tire and 2- The way the tire is made/ constructed.
as the vehicle sits, the tires become flat spotted. vibration minimizes once the tires heat up. Typically, cheaper tires tend to be prone for having excessive road force issues. Not saying the yokohamas are cheap, just saying you may of gotten a bad one.
by the way, the only way you'll be able to find out if another new tire has the same issues is by having that one tire road forced balanced again. there are no physical properties that give it away.
