Id like to know which performance tires will last the longest.

I heard the Toyo T1-S are nice tires but that the tread life is really bad. Anyone have these for 10K + miles?

Tirerack.com shows the GSD3 having the highest tread wear rating, just above the S03.

Id like to know how many miles people are getting on their tires. Of course it depends on driving habits, but I just want an idea.

Not sure what would be a good choice for the coupe, but I just wanted to point out that you can't really compare treadwear ratings from different manufacturer's.

 

No i dont want the highest manufacturer rating I want peoples' ratings based on experience. I know the falken st-115 rating is something like 360, but some people say they don't last very long

I just put Eagle F1 GS-D3's on my sedan, but I've only had them 2 weeks.. can't comment on tread life yet. Much stickier than the oem Bridgestone Turanza's I had before, which only lasted 11,000miles. I autocrossed on them, and I don't expect to get as much life out of the GS-D3's as someone who just drives on the street, either.

 

I've heard a couple people mentioning the BFG KDW tire. I'll probably go with a set of these when my s03s wear out.

I'm not sure if they are available in the sizes you are looking for but for great traction and outstanding treadwear (although in an all season tire) get Dunlop SP Sport 5000's. They look cool and lasted over 35,000 miles on my 93 Ford Probe GT Turbo (aftermarket). Worth a look.

And lasts how long? about 15k miles?

 

This is an OLD OLD thread. They don't make T1-S anymore, they've been replaced by T1-R's, which have better tread life, from what I hear. I just bought a pair last month, they work great so far, even under extreme driving.

 

Yea had to bump some of these old topics up to get some answers. Seems that it's a popular choice for T1Rs, but since they are performance tires they seem like they will only last about 10k-15k miles.

 

i had a set of dunlop direzzas on my audi....after 15k, they still have an honest 50% tread left...they are affordable and look good....also, i have kumho spt's an my coupe 19's.....really quiet tire though not sure about tread life cuz ive only run about 2k on them.
