Expensive Michelins or Cheap Kumhos
I think tires choices depend greatly on what you are looking to get out of them.
For most people the most important parameter is wet panic braking distance from say 50 mph. Tire rack test tires in wet at 50 mph. Compare the PS2 to Kumho and you will see 20+ feet difference.
If you ever rear end someone you might wish you had paid for a better tire.
Durability beyond 20,000 miles or 2 years is something Michelin is fanatical about.

Just don't tail gate and that will never matter. Use 2 second rule and you never rear end someone. ...And I doubt that's what most people buy tires based on. .
OEM bridgstones... everyone complains about em, then they complain that they lost grip when they switch to something cheaper.
PS2s..... awesome tire, not-so-awesome price.

Hope this helps
I picked up the ps2's because I could not find one bad review in my research! Since day 1 of owning them (July 25 2007), never had issues. Grip is mean everywhere - in rain its great as well.
It's pricey but that's the price you pay for quality.

Almost there... Leaning to the Kumho's
I appreciate all the responses... Thanks... It's all been very helpful... Plus I keep reading reviews and so forth.. I'm leaning heavily toward the Kumho's... It's interesting to note that if you read 98 great reviews on a tire, you'll still find those two others that absolutely refute all the positives the other folks talked about... I've sort of decided over the years that when reading reviews you sort of have to toss out the best and the worst and then sort of read what remains... Overall, I've heard basically good reviews on the Kumho tires and it also appears Kumho is a reputable tire manufacturer, one poster said in the top 10 in the world... It also appears that the Kumho's might even last longer than the Michelins, or at least as long... If the Treadwear number means anything, that should be the case... Lastly, handling is not my number one priority. Nor is price... But I do have limits and the Michelins are just outrageous in my opinion...
I likely would have already bought the Kumho's but Tire Rack only has my rear tires, not the fronts, and they can't say when they are going to get the fronts... Tires-easy has the fronts... I've heard a lot of opinions about Tire Rack but none about Tires-easy... Anyone have any experience with Tires-easy?? Good??? Bad???
And what does anyone have to say about buying the rears now (the fronts could still go easily another 5k miles) and running new Kumho's on the rear and original Bridgestones on the front for a while?? Then changing the fronts to Kumho's when I can get them from Tire Rack or in a few thousand miles????
Again, thanks for all the feedback to my original post... bob...

I love mine.
I don't think i would put them in the cheap category though. I bought mine for tires4less.com, The local place wanted $400 a piece for them.
