Rim rust. HELP!.

Well i picked up a set of oem coupe 18'' rims for cheap, and they have this rust like residue on them. I was wondering if anyone knew of any cleaners that would remove this or any idea how to.

I'm pretty sure that's burnt-in brake dust...

Anyhow, even if you get it off the finish might be toast. Might want to consider repainting them if that's the case But they're certainly worth trying to clean at first.

I've never cleaned wheels with anything that bad. But I can tell you a wheel brush is something you'll definitely need.

only way your getting that off is if you use one of those double sided dishwashing sponges with one side sponge matieral and the other side brilloish matierial ...that should take it off..just be gentle!

do you have access to a pressure washer? I have an 1800 psi one. Not sure how bad it is but might be worth a try.

Woops just realized you're not even in the same country...sorry I was gonna offer.

LA's Awesome Clean will take that right off

Dont let the product dry and absolutely keep it away from the car paint, its likely to eat away at the clear coat.
