Are these the best snow tires?

Trying to do some research on snow tires to mount to my OEM 17s on my 05 sedan, and this is what tire rack reccommended.

Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60

Anyone else run these or should i look at somthing else?

These are only $116 per tire

I got a set of used WS50s last year for $300. They made my car go from an absolute death trap (on RE050s) to being able to follow the wife in her AWD RX300 no problem. If the WS60s are the replacements, then they are going to be excellent.

But for the limited time I ride on snows (3 weeks), I just looked for an used set. But I admit, you're smart to be starting your search now. I started around the same time last year. Finally found a set on Craigslist.

redlude97 was running some Michelin Alpin tires last year on some coupe 17's. He gave a great review.

I run these in winter and they're pretty good. I think my GY Ultra Grip Ice may have been better, but hard to tell since they were on a FWD car. Search in the Cdn section for Blizzak, you'll get tons of info.

Dude. Offer the guy $400-$450.

You demount the tires and sell the wheels for at least $300. Maybe $350.

Want to get new though lol

Wayne told me about Dunlop Winter Sport M3s. Its a performance winter tire, so it will be easier to drive on in the winter when the roads arent covered in snow.

Might run them.

I have the Winter Sport M3s. We had a lot of snow in Toronto last year and they performed flawlessly. The fact I have AWD also helps of course. Also great on dry pavement, quiet and still able to take the corners. I bought mine on sale from Tire Rack. These tires are recommended by my local BMW dealer for their M series cars which is a pretty good indication of their handling ability.
