Have a 03 black sedan with Yokohama Avid 4's. This tire grips very well but I am getting alot of road noise. To be honest I don't drive THAT spirited but would like a tire with decent grip and comfort. I had a set of Kumho's Ecsta on my last car (I30t) and after 15-20k they started to get noisy but maybe it was my fault? The Yokohama and Kumhos seem to be the best bang for the buck tire. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I have the avid v4s tire as well. How many miles did you get out of them? I found they were as quiet or quieter than the crapanzas el42s that come on the car.

A friend of mine suggested Hancook when i was getting new tires. I think they are budget friendly as well.

I estimate the Avids have 30-35k miles but are getting noisy. Its driving me crazy. Still have quite a bit of tread left.

Any of the Crapenzas suck IMO. I had them on my 02 Maxima and hated them. Noisy, hard as a rock, terrible wet traction, etc....I have never had good luck with Bridgestones.

I had Goodyear RS-A's on mine for a while. I went up in size to 245 45 18's, it helped with noise and ride confort. The taller the side wall, the better the ride.

you may want to get your tires rebalanced...that may help with the road noise, but V rated tires and in general tires get louder the older and more worn they are.

The avids have a 60k mile treadlife warranty...if you do have to replace much sooner than that, at least you can get a prorated discount on the next set.

Your right, may need to get re-balanced as I notice it is pulling left. The alignment is ok.

The noise you're hearing has nothing to do with balance. If your tires are out of balance you'll feel a vibration in the steering wheel. Is you car pulling to
the left during braking or does it just wander left while driving? Those are two
different issues with two different causes. I'm currently running damn Bridgestones (came with my wheels) they are super noisey. Going back to my
Michelins by next summer....for sure!

Does not pull at all under braking only while driving and especially at higher speeds. Pulls very noticeably left. Only started doing this after tire rotation.

You may change your mind if you try the "Turanza Serenity." I find it more than adequate in dry weather, and have never had a tire that was better in the rain. Last winter I had to find snowy side streets to test them -- and immediately learned that I don't need snow tires. They did just fine.

The Potenzas I had were awful and any other Bstone tire in the past were like rocks.

I would look at your front tires and see if they are worn different, especially the inner part of the tread tread.

I just bought Sumitomo HTR+ tires for my coupe, Im pretty happy with them, millions more quieter than the BFG's I had on there.

I find there breakaway more predictable and dry grip is fine for what Im used to. They also have low M+S rating where as similar tires did not. Tirerack has good prices on them as well.

Maybe also look into the Kumho AS-T, I had it on another car and liked them, told my bro to get them and he is happy as well.
