Hey guys,
Need to replace rubber on my rears. Currently running 275 35 19 BFG KDW's on a 9.5" rim.
If I go to a 285 35 19 on my 9.5" rim, will there be tire 'bulge' (opposite of tire stretch)? Anyone running this? Pics? Issues with rubbing?
I would like to get a bit more rubber on the pavement and don't want to buy a 10.5" rim.

why does your title say 285/40/19? Yes it will bulge slightly, but its still perfectly safe to do. No need for a wider wheel except to get better fitment

Thanks for the response. Anyone have a pic with this set up (bulge?)

I,m running 275/40/19 on my 9.5 inch rear wheels with no problem. I wanted a little more meat on my tires.

I'm running a 285/35/19 on my 10.5" wide rim and there's still some of the sidewall "bulging" past the edge of the rim. It's not unsafe bulge but the sidewall is outside the edge of the wheel. you have to remember that the KDWs have a more round sidewall, and thus stick out further in general.
For my next set I'm going to stay away from the KDWs so that I can bring the sidewall in a bit.
