screwed up

Alright so I just tried to take my wheels of to do some checking of the brakes. Tried a hand ratchet, had a feeling it wasn't gunna work but I tried anyway. Didn't work. Tried an Impact wrench. Not a budge. How are the wheels going to come off? I tried the same thing basically that the dealer will do. If I can't get them off, how would they? Better idea, how would I?

Thanks!

whoever put your wheels on over torqued the lugs. Just get a breaker bar or a 2-3 foot pipe and slide it over your ratchett. Don't need to break your back, just step on the pipe and use your body weight.

Bad news tho' your studs are probably stripped and they might snap!

HMM, I'll take it to the dealer to just look at my brakes and for my 37500 mile service. So if they break...not my fault

Yeah sometimes you gotta watch how installers put your wheels on. They're suppose to thread it by hand and tighten with a torque wrench. Impact guns are only for removal.

Some installers to save time use an impact gun to install which sometimes cross threads and over torques your lugs.

To add to that and possibly warps rotors I heard somewhere. And I was just thinking. The last people to put my wheels back on was Infiniti. I thought it was the place I bought it but Infiniti had to take them off to do the axle clicking service.

With wheels it's best to just torque them down with a breaker bar or torque wrench. I snapped my key using the impact gun trying to put them on.
