19" wheels with 40 tires...

I think there was a post about this before but....i want to know everything that people think that is bad about putting a 40 tire on a 19" rim for a coupe. The % off of the mph doesnt matter to me. Please don't share opinions like how the 35 will look better because i just want technical problems. I just want a little thicker tire for the ride and to have a little more padding for the rims (maido st5). So is there anything bad about putting 40 on them? I can't seem to think of any. Please share. Oh yah...the lowest the car will be dropped with coilovers, probablhy about 1 in, 1.5 if permitted by the thicker tire. thanks in advance for the info.

Hey bozak i was looking at tire rack and the s03 didnt come in the 275/40/19.....or did they just not list it on tirerack? what size do you have? Did you have the wheels on before you lowered the car? how did it look not lowered?

You can have a 35 tire and a 40 tire that are the same overall diameter. You need to tell us the width of the tire to determine if it is ok. I have 40 tires on my front and 35 on the rear because the widths are different, but they are identical in sidewall height. The 40 is a percentage of the width.
