Tire noise has a been a known issue in the G35/350Z and the TSB if I remember calls for new alignment settings to reduce tire noise and uneven wear.
sweet thanks man! Im gonna have to look into this now.

I had a set of these in 20" on my wifes Altima SE-R they are garbage. They were as loud as hell and even with a yearly alignment and swapping the tires from side to side by taking them off the rims. They still cupped faster than I even thought possible so while there was lots of tread left both inner and outer edges were cupped to the point the steering wheel shook all over the place even with the rotating side to side(by taking the rims off the tire and swapping them side to side to side) they still lasted about 1/2 as long as a quality tire
I have since got a set of Nitto 555 on her car and with no new alignment these tires have lasted over a year with no signs of cupping and I have not needed to swap them side to side yet.

Question nakang ultra sports

I'm looking for info on NaKang Ultra Sport Tires. I'm considering buying a set of them with 18" wheels. They were used for one summer and have about 6000 miles on them. I've been looking at reviews on them and they seem to be mixed some people like them some don't. I don't drive very aggresivly. Right now I have Bridgestone Potenza's on my Cobalt, I really like them, they're especially great in the rain, but i'm just curious about these other tires with the rims. Thanks!

I have to say these tires are pretty good. I am a 37 year old so not sure if that influences on how much I obsess over my car but after spending $1200 on tires last time I spent $400 and picked up the Nankangs. They are not loud at all and drive rather well. I would have no troubles recommending these tires. I do not do 150 down twisty roads so that may influence your decision but I do 90 down the highways and these tires drive smooth, quiet and have not slipped at all.

I went from Michelin PS2's to Nankangs in the rear. Couldn't afford to replace the PS2's at the time, so I got a set of 245/40/19 Nankangs in the rear for around $200 installed intil I could a foord a decent tire.

So far they have seen the drag strip, and canyon roads a few times and have help up extremely well. I was very surprised. Compared to the PS2's, the sidewall on the Nankangs are noticeably softer. On corners, the initial grip is ok, but quickly degrades after a few miles of corners and increased tire temp. It still held up great in the canyons.

I've had nankang tires on my g35 and i can say they do the job. good traction and very quite on the road. However, I may warn you i drove 3k miles on a brand new tire i replaced and the inside went bald very quickly. This is only the front tire though.

I just purchased nankang ns2 yesterday for the rear and YESS. side walls are super soft. i live in miami so i do alot of high way driving and while swerving in an out of traffic i feel like im on a 65 profile. i have to say that my stock bridgestone potenzas are so much better performing tires!! nankangs are good for strictly daily commuting. there arent bad at all but they cant take aggressive driving at all!!! and they grip alot less then my potenzas.
