I've got a 90lb lead "donut" (removed from a huge electrical inductor) that I'm planning to use along with one salt bag for about 130lbs total. My 19" rays will also come off in order to swap in 17" oem all season's. I've been starring at the 17's all summer in their tire rack totes and I can't wait for the snow to fly. Big wide open parking lots beware - I'm coming for you!
Our cars are pretty heavy so I don't think weight in the back is necessary per se...but I'm sure adding it wouldn't hurt.
I also cant wait to see what this thing will do in winter with proper tires.

My tips:
- Buy snow tires
- 17" are fine
- Dunlop Winter Sport M3's are great tires
- Nokian are another great brand.
- Adjust your speed to the road conditions
- Watch out for everyone around you who doesn't have snow tires

I went through the same situation last year and I bought 4 winter tires, not all season, and man what a huge difference. Going up hill was a breeze even when it was freezing outside. I bought some 17 OEM wheels and the Michelin snow tires. Amazing tires. I felt more safe in my G then my mom's RX350!!

Only problem they are pricey but a small price for your life.

I just wonder how it will be now that I'm lowered?
