widest tire for a 20inch rim

HI everyone,
i want to know how wide can go on a 20 inch non staggered rim.
im considering 275/40/20 or 275/45/20 in the rear of my 03 g35.
does this look good

Depends on your rim width, below is the chart for Michelin PS2 for example:

You can see 275/45/20 fits 8.5-10.5" rim

Btw i think 275/45/20 is wayy to thick, they're gonna look like drag radials. you prolly want 275/35/20.

we need more information. Do you have a coupe or sedan? How wide is the wheel? Offset? Alignment settings?

i have a coupe, and i have no idea about the alignment settings, but it has about one inch spacers and the rim must be 8.5 inch width. as previous member stated above

you should be running 245 or 255/35/20 on that sized wheel. IMO you shouldn't even run those width wheels in the rear, its an awful size for an aftermarket wheel. You should not install a 275 on there either

20x8.5 245.40.20 or 255.40.20 i am not a fan of rubber so i would go with a 30 series but thast just me.
