Question How do you get your wheels off if you lost your wheel locks?

Just like the title said, if you lost your wheel locks, how do you get the wheels off to buy new lug nuts and wheel locks?

What kind of wheel lock do you have?

Depending on what wheel lock you have, you can find a master key (won't be cheap) or find a key that works. Or you might be able to use one of those gator wrenches.

Or you can carefully drill out the wheel studs and replace everything.

you could also buy a new key, most brands you can buy a key to replace a lost one.

If they are OEM infiniti lock nuts, infiniti would carry a master key set.
A tire/wheel shop can normally get it off for you as well.

If not you can hammer a 12 point socket onto the lock and get it out that way.

For example a 19mm bolt you would hammer on a 18mm socket.

I work for a nissan dealership as a salesman. If you want to get the wheel locks off and do not have the specified wheel lock key, just go to the infiniti dealership and ask them to take it off for you. Usually they wont charge you for that maybe at most 30 bucks. If you have OEM you dont have anything to worry about cuz they got the master key for the wheel locks which should be nissan brand. This happened to me recently bec i just got new rims for my G35X and lost the key lock and they did it for me for free.

i work at nissan bro, we don't charge anything at all to take wheel locks. only time we'll charge is when you want to install new wheel locks.

did you buy the wheel locks your self or where they already on the car when you bought it. if you bought them then theres a paper that you fill out and sent to the company and if you lose it they can send you a new key. otherwise you can go to the dealer and they can take it off, that what i had to do when i got my car cause i couldn't fine the key, but they charges me $50 to take 2 off.

I'd advise that you put sonr rags or somthing around your rim where you are swinging the hammer so you dont miss and damage your wheel. Good luch.

Living life thru chemistry..........or did you look in
the glovebox for the key?

Since I couldn't find the package and didn't want to wait a week for the new locks to come in, I just had them remove the locks from my car with a master, and bought new ones.

I wont lose thes new ones!

Either take the care to a tireshop, they have lug nut extractors, or buy one..
The pound it in and impact it out. I think sears might carry them too.
