tire rotation.

Ok so I am up to 6.5K on my 'new' g35 and my dealer is telling me to do a tire rotation. Does anyone know if i should have it done with this amout of mileage and then the next question is after the tires get rotated do they need to balance them or is it fine to to rotate them without balancing them. Thank you inadvance.

p.s. trying to rotate the tires myself but if i need to balance them then i will take the car to the shop.

Shouldnt need a balance and depending on YOUR driving habits, you could need a rotation at 6500... do you drive a X because most G's come with staggered tires

you should get your tires rotated every 5000 to 6000 mile to get the most life out of your tire if your tire are wearing unevenly than you might want to consider having them cross rotated. you don't have to have your tires rebalanced but i would recommended it because if you drive off and you start to feel you steering wheel shake than you will have to go back and wait. If there is a local Discount Tire I would recommend going to them and buying there warranty plan that covers anything that happens on the tire and you get all you rotations and balancing done for free even though you didn't buy the tires from them.
