I know someone who got a student loan for his rims. IMO, I would save up money and buy it, instead of putting yourself in more debt.

I put everything in sight on my credit card does that count?

If you need a loan for wheels then you should not be buying them.

Obviously the most reasonable answer is NO.

if you can do not take loans out for anything.

But then it's all your choice.

Some people say DON'T DO IT but they don't see a problem with taking out a loan for vacation or big screen tv or something else.

So it's all up to you.

You need to remember that taking a loan out will put you in debt. So you need to make that choice. Do you wait and save some money or do you take a loan and pay more for the wheels then you would have if you have saved.

You live in NY. Winter is coming and you don't want to fvck up you new wheels in snow and sand and salt.

So I would suggest to save over winter months and get your self some sweet wheels once the snow is melted.

That way you'll save and not end up paying interest on the loan and you'll have nice and shiny wheels by the time summer is here.

And also I would never put anything like a big screen tv or vacation on plastic, everything entertainment is strictly with expendable income.

So I drive a bone-stock 04 coupe and everyday I log onto the forums and I browse the pictures shares/wheels sub-forums. And just about everyday I look at the beautiful 3k rims and I think to myself - DAMN i want me some rims...

But if I had 3k in front of me right now, I would take that and add it to all the other investments that I have so that money goes towards making me more money... Crazy, right? Save money to make more money?

Don't get me wrong -as soon as I hit enter on this post, I'm heading right back over to the Market forums to let my imagination run wild again...

It's a toss up. Like Joker said, it's no diff than taking out a loan for any other luxury items like a new plasma, vacation, car, digital slr, etc...

Pretty much everyone you just described is part of the problem...

OP, instead of wheels, why not buy a house??? Oh, wait... $1500 would've gotten you a mortgage LAST year. My bad
