Re: silver g35 coupe on RH C2 (pshop)
The problem with the konigs is that they don't come wider than 8" on a 19" rim. i'm looking for 19x8.5 f/ 19x9.5 r. I also like the wider lip on the back.

I agree... The black opal Konig Imagines are very phat rims, but they are Konigs. Just like buying Tenzo's... maybe a little bit better. I'd feel guilty putting bottom shelf rims from bottom shelf rim makers on a car as beautiful as the g35.
4x19 inch konig appr. $1800 (at most)
4x19 inch type c2 appr. $3500 (at least)
If I can spend 40K on the car I can afford an extra 1700 - $2500 for the better rims.

<hr></blockquote> Is this similar to buying a $10500.00 Rolex when you can buy a Timex that can do the same thing, you know, just to show you can afford it?....interesting...

Not flaming - but It is if your mentality is that a Rolex and Timex are the same watch because they both tell time....
Both are rims - but the wheel & tire combination is one of the most important parts of a car. Construciton, Warranty, Weight, Quality, Durability all play a part (just like in a fine watch)

if I follow your mentality... a Kia and a G35, both drive... I bought the G35 just to proove I can afford it... oh what the hell... why not?
rxkeven has the ssr's he/she can appreciate what it means to get some real rims on his/her beautiful g35...
but to make a better analogy... it's like buying a genuine versace suit and then getting a fake versace bag or belt or tie or whatever, you just spoiled it...

Actually, there are three levels there.. think Timex, Tag Heuer, and Rolex. One is cheap and does the job. One does the job exceptionally well under adverse circumstances (Tag's are diving watches), and one is all about looking rich. If you're into the racing/performance aspect, a strong lightweight allow wheel will be worth the extra money to you. Of course, if you're going strictly on looks, then it's like a Rolex. But hey, it's your money.. do what you want with it.

<hr></blockquote>Great analogy! I drive my car on the street like a normal, sane person, so I have great looking, but probably heavy wheels. That makes me a Rolex person. Some guys have really lightweight strong wheels so they can justify driving like a maniac, when in reality they can't feel the difference between a 14lb. wheel and a 34lb. wheel. Makes as much sense to me as a guy wearing a Tag Heuer diving watch rated to 500 meters and he can't swim, much less dive, which I'm sure encompasses at least 80% of people who buy Tag Heuer watches. Hell, my wife drives an Expedition, but she's not entering the BAJA 1000, either. My point is you buy this stuff to enjoy it, and we all enjoy it for different reasons. I can appreciate nice, expensive things, but if nobody can tell the difference, what's the point?

Don't worry about anybody else, just about yourself.
My wife has a Tag, but then, she's also a certified diver. Of course, she got the watch first....

Re: silver g35 coupe on RH C2 (pshop)
Yah know it's funny you mention watches... if anything Rolex is not plainly about looks .. thats why their style generally has never changed ..subtle differences to the band ... clasp ... bezel.. things of that nature.
Tag is a nice watch... not the most reliable .. as I have 2 of them .. the leather band on one fell the hell off... the other..well needs a battery every 6 months for some reason .. which is not cheap.
so I got a Rolex... and for a watch that needs neither a battery or a replacement band .. ever.... and misses less than ONE second a day ..
which is quite amazing for a mechanical movement watch .. I can say .. you get what you pay for.
Rolex is like a 3 piece set of Lowenharts.
Strong, extremely durable, very good looking and everyone knows that it is plainly and simply ... . one of the best.

I agree with gaklid
I enjoy my Omega Seamaster even if I don't scuba dive it's just a fantastic quality watch. Even James Bond wears one. Check them out at Omega.ch
