275/35/zr19 bfgoodrich kdw2 vs 315/35/zr19
hey guys,
presently, i have the 275/35/zr19 Bf Goodrich KDW2s for my rear tires and its almost time for some new ones! i was wandering if anyone knows if there is a significant difference in grip between the two of them because i would like some more grip and as far as i am concerned, the KDW2s are top of the line for grip. The only catch is that the 315's are $75 more per tire and i dont wanna spend it unless i know it will be well spent!
any input would be greatly appreciated!
thanks,
Jtrain

I would say that the easy answer is yes, it will give you a significant difference in grip. Hopefully you have looked into the other issues of fitment though. Those are some huge tires for the G and they will not bolt right up and you will need at least a 10" wide wheel. You also have to watch out for grip balance between the front and rear. If all you want to do is launch better then it will not matter. If you want to preserve the handling balance then I would upgrade the fronts too when you need to replace them. Otherwise the car will want to push in the turns because the rear will have so much more grip than the front.

go 295 or possibly 305 315 is going to be overkill unless all your doing is drag racing. u will see a huge difference in handling if u run the stockers upfront and 315's in the rear.
as vqdawg said "Otherwise the car will want to push in the turns because the rear will have so much more grip than the front."
very true......
