JIC Suspension

This really SUCKS!!!! My wife has given me the ultimatum. The suspension must go because her and the baby daughter (2 months) hate it (I love it). If I want to ever buy anything else for the G I better listen. I bought the JIC FLT-A2 just 2 months ago for $1850. I would like to get more but I will part with them for $1500 plus shipping. If someone is interested please let me know. I am probably going to have to go back to the stock suspension or something (maybe eibachs because I do like the lowered look).

Please help a fellow G owner out. If you want a better handling G then this kit is where it is at. I cannot tell you how much differance it makes.

Hahahaha! Wives Rule the EARTH! I have to be careful what I buy for the G as well. As I per my advice in an earlier thread, boys, if you want toys for your car or stereo, etc., do it before you get married!

Re: JIC Suspension

Yeah, but that does not apply everytime, they make you sell the ones you had before you said "I Do" to imprisonment.

Hey Mountain, sorry to hear about your ultimatum.

Re: JIC Suspension

At least I got to keep most of mine. Many times I still hear though about the "Debt I incurred before" (I married her)! Also had a heck of a time justifying an expensive repair on a CARVER amp -<font color=blue> "But you can get a whole new amplifier for that price!"</font color=blue>

Re: JIC Suspension

Anybody care to take a guess why I have a 5AT instead of a 6MT? ....

Re: JIC Suspension

The 5 speed was not available? Hehehehehehe.....at least that was one of the reasons with me. The other is did not seem the right thing to have on a sedan of this size.
Shhhhhhh! here she comes..........

Re: JIC Suspension

Well, we did come to a compromise: the price of my agreeing to an auto was her agreeing to learn to drive stick. Later this year I'll probably be picking up an old $800 Accord or something.

Re: JIC Suspension

If I had the money, I'd take them from you mountain. It's still a bit pricey for me to afford right now, especially since I live in Toronto and shipping/duty costs will be a pain.

Ask Pestilence, he may be looking for some new suspension.

It's still a G thang!!

Re: JIC Suspension

The rode in a friend's WRX with a JIC coilovers....man was the ride rough. I can easily see why your wife and baby daughter hate it.

Re: JIC Suspension

How hard was the install Mountain? I've been looking at some mod's for my coupe, but wasn't sure on suspension because my funds are ltd. Did you install it yourself or have someone do it?

Re: JIC Suspension

I have a close relationship with the local speed shop. They did one side and I did the other. It was so easy I really just wanted to use their lift so I could work at eye level and take all the wheels off at once. I only paid them $100 for their time and lift usage.

I documented everything with photos and I could easily write instructions and walk someone thru it. There was nothing hard about it. If you r interested we can get it installed. You can even do one side at a time. I would recommend doing front and rear at the same time.

Re: JIC Suspension

JIC is full of [censored]!!

I was there first with my G35 last May, they said i would be given the exhaust and coilovers for allowing them to do the R&D on my car.

I was given a call two months ago stating the now they were ready, I could come down and they would give me a great deal for the parts. I said, I was told that the parts would be given in exchange for the consideration and useage of my car. They said, they would not be able to do that.

These people are the dregs of the industry. If you loan you vehicle for this type of useage, you are given the developed parts.

Much thanks to Tein )http://www.tein-usa.com) for coming through and knowing that honor (in your word)is the most important thing when it comes to consideration.....

My car happily ride on Tein Flex coilovers, Greddy full exhaust system.....

Re: JIC Suspension

that bites. I have the 6mt cause my wife said "what's the point of getting a sports coupe if it's not manual". my wife rocks!

The only thing is she won't let me lower the car at all. She's lowered her 95 eclipse 3 inches and won't let me touch the suspension at all on the coupe. she said she's tired of looking for the right curb to go off of.

OH well can't have everything.
