Alittle help with picking tires?

Greetings, I would like some suggestive input regarding tires for Aftermarket wheels that I have purchased. I recently(still awaiting their delivery) purchased a set of 19" MRR HR2s. They are 19X8.5 and 19X9.5 staggered rims so the next thing right now is the tires. I have seen that the average sizes that people go for being 245/35/19(F) and 275/35 0r 30/19(R). I know most of you are going to ask "What kind are you going for?" or whether or not I am familar with the tread wear between tires. Answer to the first question is yes, and the answer to the seconod is no. I was interested in going for a mild stretch on the tires, so I assume that in order to accomplish this I would have to go with a 235/35/19(F) and 265/35/19 in the rear. Oops, I almost forgot, I have an 06 Sedan and I plan on going with the Eibach prokit springs for a subtle drop as to remedy the gap from stock height. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I want to be happy with what I pick but I do not want to rush into a buy I would later regret. Thanks.

I have a 2006 sedan with the same set up , this site is very informative, there's tons of post, spend a day searching and you'll find stuff about offset, My 5zigen rubbed in the rear but I had a shop roll the fender for like 150 dollars and they came out killer, no more rubbing, with the h-type springs from tein, Im going to the S-type for a lower stance and will want to sell these too hint hint!!

Definately do the staggered look because Sedan look so sick with alittle drop and that fat lip.

what are the offsets for the wheels? If you want to go a little bit stretch, i think 225/40/19 front and 255/35/19 rear should be good...

Would it be more noticeable if I went with 225/35/19(F) and 255/35/19(R)?

don't do 225/35, it's going to throw off your speedo too much...and won't look right....

I see, what size would be suggested for a mild stretch that wouldn't throw the performance off to much? would 235/35/19 and 255/35/19?

I thought it would throw off the speedo? Could you tell me how one size up makes the diff in whether the speedo is thrown off. If I'm correct you said that 225/35 would throw off. Could you please explain the defference? I've been thru alot of threads and some are pi$$ing contest or G35 trivia matches. I tried using the tire calculator but I think it was for normal fitment not stretched or mild stretch in my case.

225/40 will not only throw off speedo a lot, but I'd be more concerned about less sidewall = more fender gap too..just a thought. 245/35/19 or 245/40/19's would be the way to go.

But is your question for us which BRAND or which SIZE? When I read your title, I thought brand, but seems like you're looking for size recommendations?

I apologize for the confusion, it's a bit of both. I find it easier to figure out what brand to go with (given the vast selection out there), but for the most part, it's sizing that I'm more concerned with. I want a mild stretched look, so what I'm trying to learn is, what size to go with that will give me a mild stretched look without sacrificing a great deal of driving reliability.

its in my sig--great tire, performance, ride, handling, quiet, good as far as wear/longevity, price, and decent size selections...etc

ask G35freak--I recommended to him and he loves them.

IMHO, if you're going to go staggered, go STAGGERED with 275's in the rear. Just my opinion, but why sacrifice not being allowed to rotate tires from front to back if your rear tires are only 1 cm wider than the fronts. Go for wider in the rear if you're okay with not rotating your tires.

Texan1 - how many miles do you have on your tires? Looking for new tires next season but may just stick with the T1R's again. My T1R's have just over 45,000 miles on them right now & they're just about done...not even down to the treadwear indicator yet!
