I will be in need of some tires soon but my friend is willing to give me his Conti tires from his Mercedes.

The tires are front 245 45 19 and rear 275 40 19. They will be going on my Volks but the set-up will be BEEFY. Wondering if its worth it.

Im currently running 245 35 19 and 275 35 19.

Will the new tires set off the VDC? or mess-up anything? THanks

 

45 front will look DIESEL, too thick, 40front n 35 rear is more like it.

 

heck yea, it will look THICK.. but will it set off VDC or mess up anything (bearings or axle)? What is the worse that could happen?
It couldnt be as bad as putting 22's on or would it? =)

the biggest side effect... it'll look like absolute ****... go with 18's if you want meaty tires. If you're going with 19's and want bigger tires, go 255/35F and 285/35R

^probably not, certainly nothing permanent. I would think the worst thing would be the VDC acting up. They're free though right, so no big loss if it doesn't work out.

 

^Those are the sizes I'm running. I'm using nitto invos and would highly recommend them if you go for those sizes.
