NISMO Wheels

Does anyone know why Nissan says the Nismo rims are
for "non-VDC equipped vehicles"? They say the same thing with the sway bar set as well.

Re: NISMO Wheels

From Performance Nissan website:

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why does it say for Non-VDC Vehicles

When NISMO originally tested these S-Tune products they did not test them on a car with VDC. We have not seen any problems with any of these products when used on a vehicle with VDC.

Re: NISMO Wheels

Can anyone with the NISMO LM wheels confirm or deny that that is indeed true? These wheels are really light!

Re: NISMO Wheels

they will work with vdc im sure.... if u can go UP in sizes.... different weights shoudnt be a problem... it may be easier to spin your tires or something tho and that would cause ur vdc to go nuts... but dont worry as i really dont think it will be a problem. I dont know from experience tho... thats why im saying "think" instead of "know"... but i do KNOW that someone would post if their wheels didnt work with vdc... so it would be something that was widely known on the boards

2004 Black on Black g coupe 6spd.... aluminum pedals, clear corners, z tube, and pop charger. soon to have 19" volk gt-c's and PIAA xtreme whites in the clearance and corners

Yep, it's true, they fit, no problem with VDC. They are much lighter and out handle the stock 18" wheels. I Love mine. If you want a deal from an authorized dealer, PM me.

Re: NISMO Wheels

Lowrider, I'm guessing you are running 245 fronts and 275 rears.

Have you run into any increased understeer situations due to the increased rear widths with respect to the fronts? One of my concerns with the wider rears. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Re: NISMO Wheels

Special deal with authorized dealer is very nice. However, does any one knows if I can special order Nismo Wheels without the logo on the spoke??

Re: NISMO Wheels

Answer to three questions. No I have not noticed an increase in the understeer. As I indicated above, the car handles much better with this combo (245/40 and 275/40). I don't drive on the track, but I do drive in a spirited fashion on the street, and have absolutely no complaints.

The Nismo markings on the spokes (which I like) are decals, that can be removed if desired.
