I need tires fairly soon. I also have curb checks on 3 of 4. In order to avoid the repaint, I was going to have the lip polished. The other portion would be easy but might look odd? But it seems it might be difficult to polish all the way into the spokes (but that would be preferrable to me). Anyone have this done? I've seen pics of wheels that are polished then painted but not really a polish after paint. ie.. hard to make a straight line.

good luck doing this yourself. Most people who polish the lips also have the centers painted so the lip can be polished first(without getting a perfect line, and then taped off and painted(for a perfect line). Refinishing would be a better option in this case for you, Infiniti of Kirkland had a good mobile repair guy who fixed 2 of my OEM 19's to 95%(that the dealership damaged)

I remember that dealer mentioning they could fix them. Only $250 each. Pass

I would just have Dependable in Renton or Cascade in Lynnwood polish the very outer ring, and see how you like it. Although not ideal, I think it would look ok.

Corey (from Foster's) is no longer there. He retired from the biz. His uncle Tim still runs it, and Michael is the guy I usually deal with over there now.
