3 peice wheels

i guess this is kinda stupid but how doe 3 piece wheels work? Can you take them apart? If you can is there a special way to do it?

A 3 piece wheel is made up of a center disk, a front half of a barrel, and a rear half of a barrel, that is then bolted together and usually sealed with silicone. Occasionally the front and rear barrels are welded together so they can't be seperated. You can take them apart if you know what you are doing and know the proper torque settings and sealant to use

Which wheel are you talking about, I have taken them apart before not that hard. Just get a tq wrench

maya wheels. I have been in and out of the hospital and have not been able to take my wheels of for winter. I had to drive in .008 of a inch snow on tues. now today i washed my wheels off just some small dirt. The lip is all pitted up and the chrome is comming off. I was going to take them apart and have them striped and powder coated i am so mad

If you have a small impact gun with sockets would be the easiest

hey thanks for some good info. I i need to do is take the center out. That way i can find a way to strip the chrome so i can powder coat the lips
