Mandatory spacers on iForged rims?

Just spoke with Vince, he said for 03 & 04 the Brembos are a litte bigger in the back, therefore he'll be including a 3mm spacer with my 19" Aeros. Everyone else getting the same spacer? Is there anything I need to be concerned about regarding this spacer?

proto, if they're aren't touching your brembos, why do you need the spacer? I don't have a problem with my iforged wheels.

Yes i ran into this problem also. I wasn't happy about the the spacer, but then again its only 3mm.

Also, is anybody getting a rubbing in the back. I am running 18x10 with 4in lip and 275/40/18 tires. I am having my fenders rolled tomorrow to fix this problem

So you only need the spacers if you have brembos?

Re: Mandatory spacers on iForged rims?

the wheels arent touching my brembo's but the clearance is so tight that i am afraid of rubbing during extreme driving (most rims will bent slightly, more so if they are larger diameter). i have a scratch on my front caliper, and i'm not sure if the wheel grazed it, or if some road debris got cought in there. i am just doing it for safety and for a slightly more aggresive look. it was pretty painful to see the mark on the brembo's, and i don't want it to happen again.

You shouldn't need the spacers. Unless you didnt tell Iforged that you have Brembo's....

Re: Mandatory spacers on iForged rims?

thanks for the replies. I definitely told them about the brakes when I ordered and was just surprised when I was told it would require a spacer. I would have thought since they are custom-built wheels there would have been some way to avoid using the spacer. I guess if others are using it, I shouldn't be worried.
