Some Ebay seller is using this pic of my G to help sell his ADR Sterling rims. He obviously poached it from this forum as this is the only place it is displayed. On one hand I'm flattered that he would use my pic, but on the other hand I feel kinda violated. Maybe I deserve some kind of royalty LOL. Here's the link

You can write to Ebay, and they will make the poster take off your pictures. A guy from NICO had done this before when somebody used pics of his 240sx.

Dude who cares, BFD. As long as he's not leaching the picture from YOUR web server (i.e. stealing your bandwidth), the chalk it up as a compliment. It's not like it's a naked picture of your wife.

I wouldn't think much of it if it was just some dude trying to sell his rims but that is not the case. The rims are being sold by "wheelplanet". So some person or company is using a pic of your ride to continuously sell rims and make money. It might even be acceptable if they were respectable but the person/store/whatever has a horrible feedback rating which leads me to believe he's ripping people off as well. If it was me, I would demand to have the pic of my car removed!

Yeah, I almost didn't mind at first until I saw all the negative feedback on these scumbags. They don't even answer the phone when you call them. Now I just have to decide how much time & energy I want to spend getting all worked up over this. Sometimes it's just not worth it. But maybe I'll get bored and start bugging the crap out of these guys : P

Personally, if it was just an individual doing a one off sale, then I wouldn't mind. But as noted by others, since it is a company, I would speak up to get them to remove the pict.

 

If you want any help bugging them just let me know, I'd be more than happy to assist in a harass campaign against people like that! In fact I already got threatened once for writing emails to high bidders on auctions for those stupid "speed modules". Oh man, don't even get me started. SCUM!!!!

Yeah I change my reply slightly. I wasn't aware it was a company nor was I aware they were shady. If that's the case then I'd go after them demanding some sort of compensation since they're using your work as advertisement. That should annoy them.

HAHHA... reminds me of this one auction where this dude was leeching pictures from someone else. That person found out, and replaced all the images on his site talking smack about the seller. So now all the pictures on that auction were about how shady the seller was, warning other people not to buy his stuff. Took a while for the seller to catch on.
