i want to add some change to my G coupe since theres a growing popularity in my town. i have the diamond graphite color and was looking at some chrome, or black with a chrome lip. any suggestions on rims preferbly 19"-20" sticking under the 3,000 mark with tires hopefully. thanks for your help

Do you care about performance or just looks? If you care about performance as well, look into the gram lights, Volks, or Nismo wheels with either the Michelin Pilot tire or the Toyo Proxes. All very light weight components. A few pounds on the wheels/tires makes a big diff.

If you stick with 8.5 or less width in front and 9.0 width or less in back, you'll be able to transfer the stock 18" wheels and tire pressure monitors(depending on the wheel) to the new wheel. Stock width on the 18"s is 8.0".

performance isnt anything big for me, i have other cars for that. this is my car just to drive on the weekends and id like to add some spice, so light or heavy wouldnt make much a diff, i just want something in to stand out.

 

Volk, Work, SSR's, Maya, Maido, are wheels I'd buy. Try to stay away from low quality rims because you get what you pay for. I personally have Volk shoes. I've also ordered half of set of Maya's.

With 19's the right offset and tire size will get you a crazy drop. 20's, the right offset and STRETCHED tire size will also get you a crazy drop. Stretched meaning if the rim is 19"/20" x 10.5", get a 255/19 or 20/ 35 series tire and have the best shop you know install them. It's the way it's done in Japan...Real JDM style. Looks really nice too with part of the lip sticking out of the tire.
