change in ride quality for sedan with 245/50/17?

I've researched and people say it will fit fine, but I wonder about how much of a change in ride quality there will be. I have the stock Goodyear GSDs on now and was considering some BF Goodrich Scorcher T/As (seems like the best tire in the $110 range). Any alternatives in that price range or feedback on ride quality appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim
