New member, need help in choosing offset for new rims

Hi everyone, i'm a newbie in this forum. I bought my G coupe about 2 months. I'm thinking about modding my G and i decided Rims will be the first thing to start. At first i think choosing rims to buy is simple, just look for the size, width, and brembo friendly. But the thing is getting harder with the offsets. I don't know what offset is for. I want the rims look flush on my car, but i dont want to roll the fenders. Can someone help me please. With the G coupe, what offset is the best for it. Rims will be 19x9.5 for the front and 19x10.5 for the rear.

And also about the wheel spacers, if the offset is to high, can i use wheel spacers to bring the offset down and clear the brembo as well. Thanks everyone.

For the most helpful feedback, let us know what your current suspension setup is and the tire size you will be running.

Volks usually have a good +17 in the front and +18 in the back which gives a pretty mean stance. Mine i have are +25 all around but they are 20's

I need some spacer i think

My suspension is stock, non sport package, only premium package. My current rims are 18" stock. And i havent come up with any ideas about the tires that im gonna run with because i'm stuck with the offsets. I dont know what offsets will be good or best for the G.

Thanks MTG35guy, those rims look real flush on your car . But im looking for 19" rims to have more rubber between the rims and the road. You have +25 all around (with spacers)? is that also good for 19"? Im not looking for Volk, im trying to get some Gold VSXX which is best for Ivory Pearl in my opion. Gold vs White, that's what i want.

Will you be lowering your car? I would look for offsets in the teens.

Well, at this point, all of my money will go into those Work rims. So im not thinking in lowering my car. Ok, so what do you think best for 9.5 front and 10.5 rear? All i want is to have a flush look on my car without rolling fenders. You think i can go <+20 offsets? BTW, what's exactly offsets is for? I'm kinda like having a little basic ideas about the offsets but im not really sure. Thanks.

What tire size are you planning on using on a 10.5 inch rear?

Since i dont like big rubber around the tire, so Im planning on using 275/30/19 tire size for the rear. Is the tire size related to the offset? And will the offset affect the car performance, handling? Thank you.

The reason I asked is due to the fact that stretched out tires usually allow for a more aggressive offset without rubbing. I would do 275/35/19 if you want to keep the overall diameter to specs.

great info right there. I think 30 and 35 is not a big difference, but if you say that, i would go for 35. Really appreciate your help!

Thanks for your advice eurodre. I did take a look at stretched tires and they look real nice on lowered cars, but not on stock height. So i'll change my mind and go with 285 or 295.

Seems like no one is interested with stock height. Well, maybe i'll go and look for offsets in teens.

well you dont want a HUGE tire, well thats just me but i also believe there are safety issues with running huge tires

the car doesnt have to be a HUGE drop, im just saying in general it tends to look a little weird with no drop, springs help you with this, it keeps the basic practically of the stock heigh sorda and gives u a nicer stance
