Tire pressure monitoring system.

I bought my G used and don't have window sticker, I was reading something on Infinitihelp.com that stated the 04 Coupes all came standard with the TPMS...does anyone know if this is true or not?

There's a little light on the dash that looks like this (!) that will go off when the tire pressure gets too low (it will make a noise as well). IIRC tires take 35psi and the sensor goes off after pressure drops below ~29/28psi.

Be aware when if you live in a tundra like Minnesota, that's normal to see in the morning

It's never normal to see it even if you live at the South Pole. Cold ambient air causes lower pressure, and lower pressure isn't normal.
If cold morning pressures are correct according to a tire gauge and you still see it, then there might be a problem with a sensor or with sensor registration.
Either way, it's not normal.

Well, it would turn on and i would have to deal with the beeeeep for 5 minutes and it would then turn off. It was just something I got used to until I got a spot my apartment's garage. Haven't seen it since.

I too have noticed it when driving at real cold (for me) temps like below 20. Not all the time, but sometimes.

Also, if it is near 100, and I get on the highway, it can go off then too.

And, once, it went off when I had a quick flat.

I don't think 03s have tpms, look in your manual for the dash display icons

how do they work anyway? is it wireless bluetooth?

When i had my winter wheels on without the TPMS, i never got the (!) warning except for a long trip that i took to NYC. but ive driven for an hour + and didnt get any alert.

Anyone know why this would be?

The TPMS will go on if the tire drops 2lbs or so.....I just changed out my snows....and this morning on the way to work the light and beep came on. I stopped at the first gas station and my tires were reading around 30lbs. I adjusted them to 35, and less than a mile on the road the light went off. It should not go on and off with temp changes, only if the tires loose air due to ambient temp drops like from autum to winter and vice versa.

If you put on rims/tires without the sensors, the light on the dash will light if you drive for approx. 35 minutes or more. It will turn off the second you shut the car off.

Hope this helps.

The TMPS sensors transmit RF through the power door lock remote receiver to the BCM. With no sensors the idiot light will come on after about 40 minutes at highway speeds.
