does brake dust come off the lip easily? is brushing required? does it scratch easily?

 

what kind of lip you talking about? polished, painted, brushed, clear coat? As a general guideline, as long as you regularly wash it off (once a week or maybe even a couple) then you shouldn't have any problems. It's when you let them sit on the wheel for a while like a month that it may start to etch into the finish or surface of the metal. Clean them regularly and you'll have no problems.
