Summer Tire Suggestions?

I need to buy new SUMMER tires for my G35 Coupe…I have the base (stock) 17” rims/tires. I did a basic search on Tire Rack (land came up with the following options (cheapest to most expensive):
- General Exclaim UHP
- Kumho Ecxta SPT
- Sumitomo HTR Z III
- Yokohama S.drive
- Yokohama ADVAN Sport

I was thinking of going with the Sumitomo’s, based on the good test review. What about the General’s (though I read the sidewalls are quite soft on those)? Any suggestions? Any other tires you might recommend…currently I have the stock Eagle RS-A all season. Any I should avoid?

Thanks for your help.

I just received the General Exclaims from Tirerack for my rears (17s). I haven't tried them yet, but the reviews are excellent for our cars and the price of course is great. The Sumitomos are relatively new and unproven, but I believe they are asymetrical and can be swapped in the fronts from side to side to minimize the front feathering. That is a big consideration with our screwed up front end geometry. They also mention they are made for cars with negative camber which we all know is our story. Good luck

I got a couple quotes from a local tire shop on two tires:

Kumho Ecsta SPT & Toyo Proxes T1R

The Toyo's are quite a bit more (about $300 more), and I'm just wondering if you think they're worth it (vs. the Kumho's).
