The people whos rotas broke ALWAYS has happened on impact, so you stay away from curbs, ditches, make sure your brake calipers are attached to your car and you should be ok

All the ones that broke seem to be during the impact or a curb , tree ditch etc etc and for some odd reason if the wheel survived (it won't) there is still a totaled car to deal with.
