Has anyone had their stock sedan 17'' chromed? Or put the Coupe 18'' chrome on a sedan?? I am asking this because I spent $1800 on Chrome rims that were garbage and 3 rims cracked after 3 months. I was looking into sending out my stocks in a swap and was just wondering if anyone has done this and what thier opinion was before I drop more $$ on this.

I have the stock 17" sport wheels that came chromed from the dealer. At 3 months I had a rim peel and now at a year I have another with a bad blemish developing where the spoke hits the rim. I don't wash my car daily but I do keep it wiped down several times a week. At first I thought it was the brake dust settling into that area and eating away at the chrome. Now I'm not sure what it is. I am thinking of taking the wheels back and getting a 'credit' from the dealer and buying aftermarket. I'm sure there are numerous success stories out there, this is just my set and the struggles I'm having. Hope this info helps.

Dan..Many thanx for the reply. I am still weighing my options as to what to buy. I have already gone the 'cheap' way and have paid the price to the tune of a wasted $1800 on POS rims!. So I am not sure what I am going to do. I really should save my pennies and by some Volk's or Maya's, but wanted to see how many people went the stock way.
By the way, I like the way they look on your car, your making me think harder about getting the stocks chromed!
