Try Eagle One A2Z wheel cleaner, followed by a kitchen sponge (soft side) with regular car wash soap. Then, get some Mother's ClearCoat Wheel Polish and polish the rims. That should take out most dirt and stains. Plus, the wheel polish will help keep the brake dust from sticking.

The soft sponge is the key. I don't think it really matters what soapy product you use, the stuff comes of easily as long as you clean them regularly.

Wax your wheels, and it'll help keep them easy to clean.

Yeah.. my problem is I live in a townhome. My parking spot isn't anywhere near a hose. So it's bucket-and-sponge on the wheels between washings.

Oh that sucks! One of the things I love about my townhouse is my own hose and two parking spots!

My buddy had the same problem. I suggested that he try using my son's big Super Soaker water gun to spray off the wheels, etc. Works quite well!
(I thought I posted this before, but it seemed to have disappeared, or I just had a "brain-fart" as GSM says)

Well, I have my own water spigot, and two parking spots.. but my two parking spots are in the middle of the lot about 50ft from my front door.

The point was more the common lot than the distance. If I did that, I'd be spraying crap all over the neighbors' cars. I don't have a personal driveway. The bucket is just easier in this case. Would like to move to a "single family detached dwelling" in the near future.
