G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
#861
I am looking for some guidance for performance tires to put on my 2004 g35 sedan. I have acquired some coupe 17" wheels (17x7.5 front, 17x8 rear). And I'd like to put on some performance tires that will be decent for autocross, drag racing, and track days, but also hopefully last over 20,000 miles. That sounds like a tall order but I will be mostly commuting and very rarely racing. Most likely just 2 autocross events per season.
In the past I have run Falken Azenis RT 215, and 615's, and kumho MX's for my performance tire. Needless to say it's been a while since I bought sticky tires.
I am thinking 235/50/17 all around because the sedan didn't come with staggered tires.
Please let me know your tire suggestions as well as size recommendations.

The size is a tad short, but makes load and fits both those wheel sizes. Not a whole lot to choose from based on your needs. However, the B-Stone S04 is available and would be your best best. Will be hard getting 20k out of any tire you plan on tracking and such, but the S04 is what I would use.

So switching directions after researching a lot more let's 86 the Firestones. So new question for you, Yokohoma Advan Sport A/S or Continental Pure Contact, which would you recommend? These will go on the GTO first and if all goes well will be replacing the tires on the G when they wear out with what I go with here.
TIA for your advice, waits with baited breath.........

Need all seasons
Hey everyone and Neal. Question. Got an 04 coupe base. Stock 17 inch wheels. I’m in need of 2 front tires but I may go all 4 now if the price is right. I need a good all season that won’t break the bank. I wanted the Achilles atr sport 2 all 4 but they don’t make the rear size I need. Any other recommendations. I’d do the 2 Achilles now but later on when I need or can afford rears they wouldn’t even have my size
