Hello all,
I have a stock 2003.5 g35 sedan and I found myself a set of 18x8.5 rims and tires
Rims are tsw nurburgring
The tires are federal 595
sizes:
225/45 front
245/45 rear

I was just wondering if this would set up would throw off my VDC, rub when my car is full, or cause some other sort of complication. I found a similar question asked by another member but I wanted some reassurance

Similar Question: https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...18s-sedan.html

Also, the guy claims its off a 350z BUT that the offsets are +45??

Thank you

Ok first post - have done a bit of searching, but really keen to find out: WHAT OFFSET?

Im wanting to buy new rims and lower them on coilovers (wanting to try Fortune Auto) for my Skyline 350GT coupe (G35 in your part of the world obviously), in the usual 19 x 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears. Wanting to track them (i know 18s are more ideal) but it will only see the track a handful of times a year and will be a daily... wanting to know:

Will 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear will fit on 0 offset all round without rubbing (guards will be rolled) with camber of less than -3deg. And would this camber achievable on stock items? I know on +12s they will fit no prob, but want to have both a stanced look, but still functional enough for the occasional track work? I do like that stretched look but want to really keep somewhat a wide tire specified above for the extra grip on track

Any pictures of this exact setup (if achievable) would be great and experiences on this! Thanks

The dreaded TE37 reps by Varrstoen LOL... but no really, i thought they were great wheels for the $, and were lighter than even similarly cast WORK XD9 in the same sizes...and had them on my R34 GTR, (prob get a ton of flack for putting them on a GTR, but no it didnt come with stock rims, otherwise would have kept the factory forged rims by bbs) Looked like this:

Oh okay yeah i kinda figured thats what wheels you were looking at….honestly if it were me i would get the +22 offset and put a 265/35 and 295/30 tire on the 9.5/10.5 combo and can get away with under -2 natural camber…BUT if you really wanna do a more aggressive offset the 245/35 275/35 on +12 offset can be had at about -2 degrees with only fenders rolled…if you want to track your car i would steer away from doing the +0 offset as you'll for sure need added suspension arms and more camber to fit non-stretched tires

And I really don't have any problems with Varrstoen wheels, as I had a set of the TE-37 reps before the multiple sets of Works I ran on my coupe….the 1.1.2 model are my least favorite though because way too many people have them and it is clear that those have been the most prone to cracking/breaking

thanks mate, yeah funny you mention that, as I felt that the mesh/bbs style was the least suited for the G35. Still a nice rim on the car, but i still think the te37s suited it better

Hmm... if i was to go for 245/40 275/35 combo on the 9.5/10.5 with 0 offset rim, how much neg camber? what about rubbing or guard scraping when turning daily and track? Anyone actually ran this spec on track?

No need for the 40 series for the front on a 9.5 and as far as camber for that setup your gonna need to drop the car a good amount for it to look right with that low of an offset and because of that you'd need more than -3…and you'll be rubbing and denting your front fenders on any track use with that setup (unless you run full stiff on coilovers and super stiff sways)

I personally do not know anybody running that type of spec on the track, that is why i suggest the +22 because you can slap on fat tires and that is still going to get you flush with big tires and allow you to run minimal camber as well

Heard some good and bad things about Varrstoens.
But hey then again you get what you pay for.

Imo, I would go 15+ all around. I believe Varrstoen has it available.

Personally I'm running +22 on my TE37's but I'm considering 10/15mm spacers to bring it to +12/7.

Good luck

Edit: Forgot to mention that I believe even with +12/7 you can still run 245/275 and Maayyyybe 255/285. I've seen it done with just a roll.

^^he's looking to track it also though so going down to that +12/7 really isn't advisable

And running that setup with a 255/285 is just going to look stupid because you'll have to run a bunch of camber to fit it correctly

Naw I'm saying that's what I'm planning on running.

I told him to run +15.

Edit: I should of clarified that by saying that you can run wide tires 245/275 I was trying to say that you can run wide on +15 no problem.
Should have added that bit.

Right now I'm running 19x9.5/11 with 255/35 (more like a 245, nankang ran small) and 275/35 nitto, in the rear I'm running -5.8 camber and still rub where the fender meets the bumper, and my fenders are rolled flat with a slight pull. I need to get a smaller tire in the rear so I don't rub it's chewing up the tire real bad on the outer edge.
Should I do a 265/35 or do 275/30, tire dependent
