You'll need to have matching tire sizes.Originally Posted by Lal

Well if not xxr's then what type of rims would you suggest. Want a pretty deep lip on the rear, but nothing crazy. Also been debating varrstoen.

Looks like the 370Z I sold my wheels to wasn't up to the task, so he sold them to a G37.
All I can say is. 19x13 -8. good luck.

Looks like he's happy with the fitment. No signs of future wide body.

I'm running 285/35 and 255/40 (actually on a set of 18s and a set of 19s) and it works beautifully on a coupe. If you had an X sedan it might cause issues - I don't know - but it's damn near perfect for RWD coupes/sedans. Keeps the VDC very happy, height-wise that combination is pretty much perfect.Originally Posted by gmflash28

Edit: XXRs wouldn't be my first choice either. There are worse wheels out there but there are also much better. I know not everyone is going to spend several grand for wheels, and that's fine, but take a look at Enkei or TSW. Enkei especially has strong, lightweight, affordable wheels and TSW makes lightweight wheels that a lot of people run without problems. I've got a set of Enkei RPF1s on the car right now, they aren't my favorite looking wheels but perform very well and they were about the cost of one of my old Works for the whole set.

He would need like 15 degrees or more to get it to sit where I had it.

I don't think all the camber in the world will let that fit. Remember it adjusts from the bottom, so the bottom of the tire is the part that gets kicked out and the top of the tire only has a minor change in where it sits.

so i need new tires and looking at 235/50/17s ..what i really want to know is if i can get away with putting some 245/45/17s on the stock rim on a 2005 g35x, of course without any rubbing or issues
