Anybody on here choose to buy wheels but slap them on the Michelin Pilots that already come with the 6mt coupe...I was thinking of possibly doing this and then with the money I save by not going with 19's I'd be able to buy a set of snow tires...Its just a thought, but if anyone has any pics of aftermarket 18's on our G's that would be great..Thanks

 

If you want to use the Pilots you won't be able to go with the common 8.5" wide front, 9.5" wide rears in the 18".

Go to www.tirerack.com, pick a tire, then click on the "specs" tab. It lists they permissible tire/wheel width combinations and the stock 8" wide wheels just won't handle much wider. Most of the good wheels just aren't stocked by vendors in an 18", 8" wide configuration.

I plan on going Nismo or Volk in an 18" 8.5f, 9.5r as soon as I can burn up these tires. If I remember correctly you can put the stocker tires on up to an 8.5" f and 9.0" rear. Good luck finding some Volks like that in stock. By the time you wait 4 months for them to arrive, you would have worn out your stock tires anyway.

My local Infiniti dealer has several that they have put Volk 18's on and used the orig tires.
Not wide enough for a change in appearance.

I like the Piaa super rossa wheels in hyper black.......
I'm not sure if they fit in the 18" size for our car.....
but I think they look real nice on the G.....Several people here have them, but I think there 19"s ................Randy's G is one who has the 19"s.....
