Has anyone had experience with the Prothane sway bar bushings on the stock bars? (They are listed on Prothane's site as 350Z sway bar bushings) It seems like just making this change could limit roll significantly. Any feedback would be appreciated. Especially anyone who has tried these and then gone to aftermarket bars.

Anti Roll /sway bars are not really as stiff as springs so don't use them to try to limit body roll beyond 40% of springs...........they are primarily a fine tuning tool.

Bushings primarily work in the first inch of body [out of the 3.5" design] roll to isolate the car from street bumps and rough road vibrations.

A better procedure is a stiffer bar with soft bushings for the street.

Thanks for that insight. But I noticed that all of the after-market sway bar kits have polyurethane bushings. Do some kits come with lower durometer bushings? Or a selection of bushings? I really want to avoid machining my own parts. Do you know what the typical durometer of stock bushings would be?

THe 350EVO sways ceom with bushings other than Urethane. They are firm and are very quiet. Urethane on the other hand must remian lubricted or they will squeek. I use the 350EVO sways and they are great fro street and track use.
