19x8 front?? handling? ride quality?

hi everyone I have a quick question. how is the ride (handling) with the 19x8 fronts. in other words why would one prefer a wider wheel up front? would the 19x8 be less desirable for most? sorry if this is a newbie question.

I am thinking about purchasing a set of DPE wheels which are 19x8 and 19x10 rear.

I have an 06 coupe with sport suspension. and oem 19's now.

thanks to anyone who can chime in.

as long as you use a 245/35/19 tire on there it will be fine. its not a optimal size, but its manageable

thank you for the response. but, by "optimal" what do you mean? why would someone stray away from a 19x8 front wheel? why is it undesirable?

sorry if I am being a little too ****.

I have 18X9.5 with 275/35/18 in front.

Comepare to the stock, it is much much stable and handling is superior.

An 8" wheel is the minimum width acceptable for a 245/35/19. The tire will bulge a bit past the wheel, and will be slightly squirmier than the same tire on a wider wheel such as a 9/9.5", which is why it isn't optimal.

That is just a poor size to run when combined with any tire you use on a 10" wheel in the rear though. The car will understeer like crazy
