Paint rims black then fix curb damage or other way around.

I want to paint my OEM 18s black but the rims have some curb damage. Should I fix the curb damage first then paint it black or the other way around? Thanks in advance.

seems like a strange question maybe I'm not reading it right.

But you should fix it before you paint it. Why go through the trouble of painting them only to fix it after and then paint again.

I was planning on taking it to the a wheel repair shop. I was planning on painting the rims black myself though.
