Toyo tr-1 vs Bridgestone Pontenza Re-11

deciding between these two tire choices. the re-11 so far have caught my eye through reviews and friends experiences. the toyos are 100 dollars cheaper, which is not too much of a concern, just want to know which is a better option.

please anyone who has used either applications on similar setups let me know

keep in mind:

running 400 hp
in 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 sizes
main concern is putting power to the ground and cornering
live in cali so dry conditions are more important

thanks guys for the input.!

Wow.

This is not even a comparison. If you need grip, RE-11 is the way to go.

The T1R is a FK452 competitor. The R1R, and RT615 are competitors, both of which are outdated designs, and not quite competitive with the RE01-R, which was phased out and replaced by the RE-11.

With 400hp, cost should not even be a factor in your tire choice.

You're lucky the RE11 comes in 19's... the RE01R only came in 18's =(

RE-11 by bar. Like the above post you can't even compare the two tires.

275/30R19 is not the right size for G.
you need 275/35R19.

You're comparing apples to.... watermelons.

The T1R are nice tires for a DD car. They are great all around tires. But the RE11's are just far superior when it comes to grip and performance for hard driving.

cool thank you guys i thought the same but a friend of mine was trying to pursue me to buy the toyos. i already ordered the re-11's about two days ago and they should be in tommorow.

velocity - why do you say the wrong size? i have been running those same sizes for several years now. What would be the advantage to running the 35?

I'd vote for the B-Stone as well. Tested them two weeks ago and that tire was amazing.

Going to be an inch shorter than recommended. Might play with VDC and speedo a bit. They do make load carrying capacity, however.

I have ran 285/30R19 on my car for several months and I absolutly hated it.
The tires are 1.2" shorter than what supposed to be (stock size is 26.7", 30 is 25.6", 35 is 26.6")
Both speedo and odo meter are wrong.
And the low profile gave me a really rough ride.

The 35 profile is the proper size for 275/R19 tires.
