mysterious tire pressure loss

So this weekend I went to the Beshoff meet and I drove for about 40min, on the way there everything was fine but on the way back, it was a different story. I was about 5 min from my house when the tpms light went on, i found this very strange because if I remember correctly all my tpms were left with the old oem wheels. I pull over to a gas station and check the tp. Passenger ones were fine but both driver side were low, one at 26 and one at 28. I then checked for nails and found none. I filled them up and will be checking the tp every day to see what happens. What can cause a sudden drop in tire pressure after a long drive when I found no nails(did soap and water test to check them) on only one side of the car?

heat...when i drive about an hour my tpms light goes off. i dont have tpms on my new wheels. you should check your tire pressure when your tires are cold.

heres a link to tirerack that tells you about it

bent wheels or loose valvestems will cause a slow leak. The TPMS light was just a coincidence. You have no idea how long they've been low. If you've been driving around for an extended period of time with the tire pressure that low, I would recommend having the tires replaced, that could have severely compromised the sidewalls

Just measured the tp and its 31(cold), I'm going to closely monitor the next few days to see how things go.

I'm going to take it to a tire shop tomorrow to see if they can find anything. Hopefully the problem doesn't have to do with the wheels

Took it to Agundis tire shop today to get them checked, no holes thankfully, just a loose valve stem so they tightened them, $5 for the check of the wheel, Agundis ftw

Your tire pressure on those wheels were most likely low for quite some time. Without TPMS's on those wheels, your car is not actually monitoring the tire pressure. When you drove 40 minutes and your TPMS light went on, that is because the car can't detect the TPMS's. If it was a low tire pressure warning, you would've heard a loud, annoying beeping as the light came on.
